Imus Institute Hymn

Ang High School Alma Mater Song...
I said High School, coz in college they used the Filipino (Tagalog) translation...
I wish I still know the Filipino translation but unfortunately, I don't. :(

Si Lalai

NAME: Shiela Allyza Mae Pakingan

BIRTHDATE: December 11, 1997

The youngest among my sibling. I would say that I helped my mother in raising her. I was 16 years old when she was born. Going on evening classes during college, I am able to look for her everytime my mother is doing household chores. I can still feel the sadness that I once felt when I had to go on the boarding house after college... I always miss her terribly. But in time, I was able to let go of that feeling.

Her Name:

Basically, it was I who think of her name. My mother wants her name to start in letter A since my third siblings' name starts in A as well. I really want it to be letter E, since both my parents, my brother and my name starts in that letter. But we don't want jealousy to appear between her & April. Until my mother come up with Allyza. I don't want her name to be Allyza alone and I am thinking of an acronym that she can use once she grow up. That's when I come up with Shiela Allyza Mae (SAM). As of now, we used to call her Lalai as her pet name. While her classmates used to call her SAM.

Growing up, she's really cute and lovely. Lot's of people adore her. Especially Kuya Bong (Tirso Dimalanta), a tenant in our apartment. He used to take her out of our house and play with her outside with the other kids. She is really adorable.

She learned how to use a bicycle at around 2-½years old. I am really fascinated with that achievement because I learned biking at the age of 9, that is after a couple of accidents. Oftentimes, I believed that having other kids to play with your child makes them a lot stronger person. Because, they were able to face their fear, and whenever other kids do something, they want to do it by themselves too. Parents should be aware though that the things their kids imitate are the good ones.

At 5-½years old, she is already in grade one, my mother is her one and only patient tutor who guides her every step of the way. As of now, she's in grade 5, still so much dependent with my mother but trying to be independent as well.

Pagsubok Lang

I wanted to create a blog dedicated to our family or to my High School Batchmates. Unfortunately, I think I don't have enough resources to do so. I always dreamt of doing this...
Hopefully, I can make one step at a time, so help me God.
